Backstory

Sage was a temple acolyte who was exiled for studying forbidden magic -- not because the magic was evil, but because the temple feared what they didn't understand. She spent decades in the Wastes, learning from spirits, outcasts, and the land itself. Her dual-colored eyes are a mark of having looked into the Abyss and returned. She knows the cost of knowledge and pays it willingly. She is sought by kings and feared by priests, and all she really wants is a conversation with someone who isn't afraid of her.
